Hello Wonnovers! We´re proud to say that as we predicted in 2015, technology has made incredible advances throughout the year, and we expect it to continue that way!
These advances have also allowed our tools to evolve among other things. As our efforts would be meaningless without technology, we want to take stock of some of the technology trends awaiting us in 2016, and point out the ones with which Wonnova will be working.
1. “Information of Everything”
This is without a doubt, the most important trend. The current digital information era forces everything found in the digital mesh to produce, transmit and use information which is why it is considered the “Information of Everything.”
Therefore, any out-dated, unintelligible or unavailable information can be understood or recovered, yielding unexpected benefits for businesses; something that companies can take advantage of throughout the year.
2. E-commerce – Shop Online
In the world of “Information of Everything,” a company can display online information about their products, services or prices through a landing page, reinforcing their brand and placing their company image at the forefront.
This entices the consumer to want to learn more about the product beyond the freemium model, and leads them to the final purchase. This is a trend that has been growing in the last few months, changing from the B2B model to E-commerce or online shopping.
In fact, according to a report by the National Commission on Markets and Competition (CNMC), online shopping has done nothing more than grow throughout the year. In the first trimester, e- commerce billing grew at an annual rate of 26.8% with an over 20% increase during four consecutive trimesters and 10% for 19 consecutive trimesters.
3. Mobile Devices and Social Networks
This growth in e-commerce wouldn´t be possible without the presence of devices that allow us to consume and visualize this content, in particular, mobile devices. These devices are also called wearables, and according to Másmovile data, their use for information consumption increased by 21% throughout 2015. This is primarily due to searches for specific answers or the need for immediate action. This situation makes it necessary to adapt a responsive strategy to these devices.
In addition to the fact that there has been a 31% increase in accessing email through mobile devices, the use of Social Networks has also increased by 75%, predominantly through Facebook and Twitter, according to data from IAB Spain.
Therefore, logging onto Facebook with just one click helps to facilitate the relationship between businesses and even had an effect on the purchase process for 70% of consumers throughout the past year.
This data demonstrates that we can no longer ignore the need for these platforms at all businesses. They not only allow us to connect with the current users in a direct and interactive way, but also gain new users. This makes communication with RRSS the best ally for any brand that wants to spread the message about their products with the aim of obtaining better results. Therefore, the ambassadors of the brand will enter the game which has been the case with our Woost Ambassador Platform.
4. Management, Analysis and User Information
One thing that´s clear is that users will not enter a site for more information, if something doesn´t grab their attention, regardless of the number of mobile devices they own. Therefore, “You can´t treat all your clients the same.”
Technology helps us by allowing us to get to know each one of our clients through “The Information of Everything,” which is provided through the cloud and identifies client motivations and best time to receive information. With this, we can automate their exposure to any content, venturing out with artificial intelligence.
Ultimately, through data management, we can assess the user, making it possible to know our target audience and therefore, optimizing our campaigns. This is the case with our Woost Profiling tool, which serves to segment users into diverse profiles: Collaborator, Intrepids…
Security is one of the most important trends for 2016. The appearance of platforms such as RRSS or Woost Profiling and the practice of contracting services through the cloud, increase our exposure to threats such as hacking. As a result there user is less trusting, making it even more important to have a mandatory security process in place so that the user feels safe when acquiring the product.
These are just some of the most significant trends for 2016. However, there could still be a drastic turn of events in the technological innovation field throughout the coming year, which may bring us unexpected changes and novel ideas to help improve things for all of us.
All the same, the one thing that is clear is that technology allows us to personalize and energize the user experience with the added value of enjoying the experience beyond devices, space and time. As such, technology has become our way of life. Don´t hesitate to contact us for more information!
